better yet will a sea sponge work for supplying anoles with water?

If you mist the enclosure a couple of times a day, the Anoles will get all the water they need. They will lap the droplets off the plant leaves and sides of the enclosre. Besides, misting helps keep the humidity up to the proper level.
They will sometimes drink water from a standing source. Try putting a clean soft drink bottle cap with some water in it somewhere conspicuous in the enclosure and see if they use it for drinking.
