On a few of the other forums, I'm inquiring about various black snake species. Can anyone give me a good comparison between mexican black king snakes and black milk snakes?
thanks

its my understanding that the mexican black kings top out around 3.5 -4', while the black milks can easily clear 6 feet. both have good attitudes and are easily bred. between the two id go with a black milk- im addicted to the larger snakes.
now, there are eastern black kings out there, though they arent as jet black as some of the other species you are looking into. the have yellow-white patterning along the ventral sides and belly, and on the labials. still, a minimally patterned eastern black king is a beautiful snake. they can reach 5 feet, but seem to top out around 4.5'
southern, eastern, southeastern, whichever this is a l.g.nigra originating from huntsville ala.,not as black as l.g.nigritus,but great snakes,,,,,,,,thomas
