I am working on a new project. I need a male Eunectes Murinus(any size) and a female Naja Kaouthia. I intend on making the most incredible and difficult hybrid in history. I am not concerned with the difficulty species crossing here. I intend on using technology i learned in biology 101 from the "extracting dna from an onion" lab. My only difficulty I plan on encountering is crossing the oviparous and viviparous barrier. after I obtain baby giants with a deadly toxin and capacity to spit its venom that is not only fast and agile on the ground and in water, I plan on crossing this with my Corallus hortulanus/Charina reinhardtii ...for wicked attitude and awesome ability to climb and burrow....please respond with any interest in my final outcome (or if you just want to make fun of the time i wasted writing this)

You're a genius

I took one of those phd approved online IQ tests..and at the end i said my age was 9. My IQ was 161..thats was way way beyond genius, its on the high end for nobel prize winners. So when this project is finished (when i grow up) they will be 7$ each so everyone can afford one.

I think you're going to create an animal with a super pooping ability... because it will attack you with its tail instead of its head... it will destroy nations...

(on an actual serious note, I sort of have a theory that there is no such thing as an oviparous/vivparous barrier. I'd test it out but I'm not sure I want to be the one with my name on it.)

It is an interesting question. Do you have the book "Snakes: The evolution of Mystery in Nature"? When the term ovoviviparous was tossed around, i would agree that there would not be the barrier. But with findings that these eggs are actually getting some form of nurishment from the actual mother...I think some form of a barrier would exist (at least within this 500,000 years)..but who knows and what would be the outcome? too bad God doesn't make many posts in this forum. I guess when my name is put on this hybrid we can find out lol. or maybe I will get some awefull punishment for this attempt that every reptile i touch will turn into a hamster...Just curious..if some form of mating were to occur within species with an oviparous and a viviparous snake (like one that might actually seem possible)..what would happen? I am sure there are some species of snakes where the line is not as drastic as Eunectes Murinus and Naja Kaouthia...I think we need some people in here with higher study than the extracting DNA from an onion lab

What you just described sounds exactly like "Python"
