Shoe Boxes?

BeardieKid14 Jun 14, 2003 12:08 AM

I was reading Tremper's Caging details in which he keeps 1.5 leos. I am thinking of buying the boaphile plastic rack that has six that are the same size to breed 1.3 or 1.4. I was just wondering where do you get the "Shoe Boxes" in which he uses to let his geckos hide and lay eggs? Is there specific diminsions that these shoe boxes are? Please post a link for me.

You can get the shoe box containers at WalMart or KMart. All of the different brands have similar, if not the same dimensions.

don't worry about the dimensions, what i do is, i just look at the boxes and i know if its big enough. i think that most of mine are 36Q, but im not sure. i say, use the 36Q for 1.3 adults, and 6 quarts for individual hatchlings.

they sell them at walmart for about $1 they are something like 6x13 or 7x13 they work great for layboxes i have one or my 1.4 group and they all fit nicely.

Yeah, we're going with a sweater box for 1.2 or 1.3 at most....the smaller containers just don't look like a good place for that many active lizards.
