Sapphire Dragon ranch...Do you think they are really blue?

zeb Apr 14, 2004 07:23 PM

www.sapphiredragons.com sells "Blue" water dragons at the bargain price of just $200....

But are they truly blue? I've seen their pics...seems the juveniles are nice, but otherwise the adults look the same to me.

If anyone has had experience with the dealer or other "blue" dragons, I'd love to hear from you...

Blue is a normal dragon variation, in the wild some are bluer than others. Sapphire dragon ranch bred a bunch of the blue ones together, but they really aren't different from normal dragons other than the price. Personally, I would stick with the normal 20 dollar green ones.

the pigment that makes waterdragons green can turn blue with a lack of exposure to natural sunlight. Some are naturally more blue, but generally the more sun they get, the greener they are.
Captive bred are generally bluer as a result.
