Hey everyone! I need to get a new filter. The one I currently have hangs off the back wall and works great, but it's really loud when the water hits...I need an underwater filter for a 65 gallon tank...any suggestions?? any to stay away from??

~THANKS~

Try a canister filter, they are outside of your tank, with just an intake tube and a outtake tube so they run silently and don't take up any tank space. I have a fluval 404 and it works great.

just wondering... how much would one of those kind of filters cost? also, is it ok to buy a bigger filter just so that you wont have to buy a new one for every tank? or is that filter ok for all tank sizes? Thanks in advance!

You can control the current, and turn the outtake tube towards the wall, so IMO they work for all types of tanks. You can't overfilter your water. They aren't the cheapest filters, but they seem to last forever, I have had mine for about 2 years.
