Well its been 7 days since i got my secomd clutch of eggs and i'm excited to say they are still looking all white and plump. No denting or anything....WOOHOO

Ok so i've seen everyone posting pics of themselves and some artwork. Yes this is a leo forum but i think it is nice to, well in one way, meet the people we talk to everyday. The fact that such a wide range of people are all together here talking about something they all love regardless of age and other distictions is nice.

Theres also been alot of laughter on the forum lately....mostly in teasing nevin. In any case its nice to see people laughing.

Hopefully in the next few days i'll be posting pics of some new geckos and the ones i got last month that i haven't posted yet.

ya i figured it was all in fun and he knew it. I tend to get teased alot offline so not being teased is nice LOL. I'm a short (4'9 1/2" and i'm a red head.....teasing comes most of the time with the hair LOL. Its worse with one of those days i mentioned before....lion head days....when frizz is an understatement LOL.

Actually today at my work meeting i mentioned that the lift we use to get people in and out of the tub had way to long a cord that would come off in the tub...a hazard of course. It was suggested that we have the cord removed and the controls stuck right to the unit but my boss said........WHAT ABOUT THE VERTICALLY CHALLENGED STAFF WE HAVE.....meaning ME!!!!! I thought it was funny....i can't help being 27 and 4 feet tall.

I think when i come here i feel part of something that defines who i am in a way (if that makes sense). I've kinda been the odd ball in that the things i like are not common (herps, artwork, medieval history, archery, etc.). I was also brought up more of a tom by than a girl....getting into a dress is like punishment LOL. So fitting in here with other leo lovers is soooooooooo nice there isn't words to describe it.

Thats funny actually......i have a few teddy bears but i chose to snuggle up with my toy dragon hehehe. I have quite a collection of stuffed toys....dragons, monkeys, a pig, fish hehe....many. Always a kid at heart hehe

I definitely know what its like to be teased...both in the mean way (I LITERALLY had no friends until high school...and moving every couple years, being fairly short at about 5'5"-5'6", having red hair, being somewhat overweight, and having different interests from most people never helped...), and just in fun. I know the difference between the two (usually...lol) and can handle being teased in fun...usually

I'll forever be teased by my brothers, thats part of being a sister and i don't mind. Sad thing is i still don't have any quote friends, not really anyways. Of course i've chosen to live my life in a secluded manner for the past few years. Hard to meet people when you won't leave the house much LOL. Part of my reptile keeping is to enjoy time within my personal space but now i'm excited to branch out. Hopefully at the show this weekend i'll meet people more like me and be able to start from there.

You sound alot like me.....a fellow red head cool hehe. And like our geckos i'm carrying most of my reserves in my back end HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......not so much so now though, being sick has its advantages LOL, weight loss woohoo.

Talking about weight, i think i'll track down the scale i want to buy and pick one up tomorrow (the store was all out last week). I'm now keeping track of my geckos on the computer and in a book so i can monitor eating and pooping etc. I've also set up a page just for breeding issues, egg laying hatching etc. I know theres a program for this available but i've forgotten the URL LOL. I'm off starting Sunday so i'll be able to spend the entire week redoing setups and weighing geckos. Hopefully i'll be able to post pics too

hehe...fiery tempers go along with the hair color...heehee... Anyway...yeah...I've definitely had a lot of social problems in the past...doing ok now. I am very insecure about my appearance though...although I am getting a little better. Confidence is everything!!

Your correct on both counts LOL a firey temper as a result of red hair and confidence is everything. I doubt animals feel the same insecurities that we do. Sometimes i wished i was an animal...something graceful like a hawk LOL. I'm now Ok with who i am, what i like, the differences that set me apart from others. My experiences have shaped me into a person who can now do more than if i hadn't had them. This also applies to the forums. Those who have had geckos be apart of their lives for a long time now repeat their experiences to others just starting out. We help eachother out and thats what life is all about i think

I know i'm better able to care for my gecko family now than if i hadn't have found this place and the wonderful people here.
