mating turtles

grimreapar87 Apr 14, 2004 10:23 PM

Umm, i caught my turtles mating...
i was wondering, is she gonna be pregnant now?
and if she is, my tank has hardly the the conditions for laying eggs and such.
so what do i do? should i change the environment so that they CAN have babies? (please describe conditions necessary if i need to) is it unhealthy for her if i dunt? is it ok if i just leave everything the way it is?

How are they currently setup? Mating does not necessarily mean eggs will come but you can always set up an area for her to dig in to lay eggs. First- tell us how you have them set up now so we know where to go from. Also - how big are each of your turtles. Your female may still be too young to lay eggs. Depends on her size.
