spooked and scared ball?

bpmaster123 Apr 14, 2004 10:48 PM

I have had this ball since it was a few months old and it was somewhat agressive then. I held it often but it still has a few problems. It is headshy and whenever anyone or anything walks in front of it, it will snap in an instant. If i even get near or touch his head he snaps back in a defensive posture. He is ABSOLUTELY unapproachable from the front. These problems are getting very annoying and making me somewhat nervous. It hasn't gotten me or anyone yet because i am very careful but i need some suggestions on how to get rid of these problems without injuring me or the snake. It is only a subadult now, about 2 feet.

If you have not all ready, put the cage in low traffic area of the house, and provide a hide box. Make sure others arent teasing it or tapping on the cage.
Thats about all I can think of. Maybe its just your snakes personality.

Thanks, but he is in the corner of the room and all he sees is me. He does have a hide box which he is in often. I'll just keep experimenting.
Thanks for your reply
