jungle breeding?

divinitry Jun 14, 2003 01:09 AM

these are my two albinos, the male is jungle and the female is aberrant, VERY close to jungle. I know that mating two jungle geckos does not ensure jungle offspring because it is not a recessive trait, but will the offspring of these geckos have a greater chance of being jungle then the offspring of two normal pattern geckos? i'm just curious because i have eggs in the incubator now and im wondering what the chances are that they will turn out with patterns as nice as their parents....thanks in advance for any help

I'm not sure about full blown jungle, but I've had good luck with aberrant patterns coming out,

Last year we bred this guy to a normal,

and only one of the babies had normal banding
Here is the best of that batch:

Then I bred her to a normal male this year and got this

I would say that you have a great chance of getting some neat patterned albinos
keep us updated with pics as they hatch!
