question about female behavior.

Snakebyt Apr 15, 2004 12:32 AM

I have a female that is housed with another female. the female in question, has been put in with a male before and did the whole arm waving thing while the malebobbed his head etc.. today when i put her into his cage, she started bobbing her head and tried attacking the male. when i seperated her and put her back into her cage, she started doing the arm waving thing again....

Any suggestions on why she is acting so weird?

I am guessing this is their first breeding? Sometimes it takes a while for them to figure out what to do and what goes where. She may feel threatened being in his cage on his turf. Sometimes it is better the other way around or on neutral ground. Arm waving is a sign of submissiveness and head bobbing means dominance. Women, who can figure them out...?
