Here's a full list of reptiles that can be found within about a 10 mile radius of Ellensburg, WA...there are other species in the county but not close to Ellensburg.
Chrysemys picta - Rare(?)
Elgaria multicarinata - Rare along riparian zone in drainages into Yak River Canyon
Phrynosoma douglassii - Locally uncommon in grass-free, rocky, 'pygmy sage' ridge areas
Sceloporus graciosus - Uncommon
Sceloporus occidentalis - Locally Common in ponderosa zone
Eumeces skiltonianus - Common but rarely seen
Charina bottae - Uncommon
Coluber constrictor - Common
Contia tenuis - Locally common but spotty and difficult to find along Yakima River
Diadopis punctatus - Rare in Manastash Canyon and along Yak River
Hypsiglena torquata - Rare
Pituophis catenifer - Common
Thamnophis elegans - Local and uncommon
Thamnophis sirtalis - Local and uncommon
Crotalus viridis - Locally common on rocky hillsides and canyons
could you list it in common names? i am ten and have yet to learn scientific names. but thanks for the good long list of herps!
