Pacific Tree Frog - Care Requirements?

bird_of_prey Jun 14, 2003 02:09 AM

Hello.

I plan on getting 2 pacific tree frogs soon. Can someone please advise me as to what the care requirements for these frogs are?

Temps?

Substrate?

Lighting?

Humidity?

I hope someone can help! Thank you!

P.treefrogs are great little frog,I have 7 that just morphed into froglets.Since they are native to a colder climate you won't need a heat source, just don't let then cook(like above 85*)or freeze,if they get too cold then they will just hibernate.
If your frogs are adults then you can keep them on bed a beast covered with sheet moss and planted with a couple nice sturdy plants.Don't forget that pacifics like to swim but make sure they can get out of there water dish.
I use a flourecent light on mine, full spectrum would be good if you can find one that doesn't produce heat.I don't know the exact humidity required, just keep their substrate damp but not soggy, maybe around 40-50%.If you have anymore questions,be sure to ask
