I was worried about my tigerleg monkey tree frog (Phyllomedusa hypochondrialis) thats about an inch long. I recently got my frog from 2 friends as a present (them knowing i like frogs) although i wasnt ready for one and i cant take the frog back to the petstore. I have a nice setup and know what i need to know about the hypochondrialis, but he doesnt seem to eat, which kind of worries me, his setup is to big and decorated to tell if hes eating so i'm thinking of putting him in a rubbermaid for a day or 2 with a few crickets and see if he eats but like Dumpythegrump and samster talked about maybe i should just chill out and wait a while, but the thing is i've never had any frog just lizards and dont want my first experience to be a bad one. Sorry this was long but anything will help.
THANKS EVERYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually good practice when you get a new frog is to have them in a "hospital" tank for a little while to see if they eat and poop. Also this way you can get a fresh poop sample to your vet so they can check for parasites.
I would just setup a tank with moist paper towel, a branch and a water bowl, spritz regularly.
I have NEVER seen my tiger legs eat b/c they eat so late at night and I have tried to feed them with tweezer with no success I think it is just the type of frog, but they do eat.

Good luck
Christina

They also stress super easily (many, many treefrogs do). It will time him a while to get used to his surroundings. As for feeding, it's hard to catch them eating. I've had to sit up for most of the night to catch them in the act.

Don't worry too much. If you are really stressed, I'd do exactly what Christina said, and reduce the tank to the bare minimum to make it easier to monitor his health.
