need help with light fixture...

I installed a 3 foot Fluorescent fixture, and realized is has to be grounded to start. Do you guys have any suggestions considering it is in a wooden cage?

Thanks sym

Do you know about wirring? a three prong plug has the ground wire in it(the green one) I,d do a little rewiring myself.

I know alittle about wiring. Should i just ground the ballast with the green wire from the three prong cord. I have a black/white wire(hot) and a white(neutral) in the fixture. That is all assumed, but i believe i am correct. The black/white wire goes directly to the ballast and the white goes to the light and back to the ballast. I think that is neutral. I'll try and ground that way, if it blows up, i'll try a different way
