I cant wait!!

I got this girl late last year, and she was gravid when she came to me, and quite skinny also. She laid 3 infertile clutches, and lost alot of weight. Now she has one FERTILE egg in the incubator from the same male she bred with before she came to me, and its now at 39 days, at 82F. And not to mention she has put on ALOT of tail fat
Im so happy she's doing much better. I thought she wasnt gravid anymore, but I can clearly see one egg in her tummy. But it doesnt seem like its effecting her appetite any this time!
She was supposedly bred to a SHTC male before I got her, so im DYING to see what this baby will look like! And not to mention how TINY the egg is! The smallest egg ive EVER seen, and its fertile! LOL. I wonder if the baby will be tiny also. hehe.

Wish me luck! (Mostly becasue I may be gone while it hatches, and Dusty will be looking after them, and I REALLY want to see it hatch!)

ps: Ive also got my first Tremper Albino baby due soon!! YAY!

I just had my female lay her first 2 eggs ever. This will be our first time trying to hatch eggs. Do you have any advise on how the texture of the vermiculite should be? I also have another female that is gravid and digging away.

I dont use vermiculite, I use perlite, and I just moisten it enough so that its not too wet, and its not too dry. Just enough so that if you place your finger in it, it'll stick and not fall off. Thats my method, lol.
And I put about 1 1/2-2 inches of perlite in my incubation cups, and spray it with a spray bottle to get it moist, and mix it up a bit.

If your female is digging, chances are good she's going to lay soon, although ive only had one female that took 2 weeks to lay after she started digging. The rest laid the same night.

Good luck!

That was Kali, yes? *sigh* She likes to tease us.

A LOT! Here's her pic, too. When Crystal gave her to me as a juvie, she said she'd just be plain ol' normal. Which, yeah, she's normal, but she was my first leo, so she is, of course, MUCH prettier than the rest! She's also in shed in this pic.
