i need help on IDing a snake i found.

Ok i was herping today and i found and caught a snake that is all black except for is lower jaw which is eather cream or white/yellow ish.. he's sorta heavy bodyed, heavyer than i see most colubrids.. I was guessing black rat snake, but seemed to heavy bodyed, and i don't think they have cream on them. i live in central louisiana, near baton rouge... heavy bodyed like a cotton mouth "which i thought it was until i saw the cream".. i might have pics tonight, i need him to calm down, he's pretty snappy.
