Got my first Boa!

herperboy Apr 15, 2004 04:06 PM

She is a one year old guyana, and is missing one eye. She had lost some weight after she lost the eye to a mouse, but is doing much better now. She is about 30 in long and is just starting to get her purple coloring. Cant wait to see how pretty she gets.

Andrew - Sounds like you've got quite a boa on your hands. I certainly hope you have switched to frozen/thawed feeder mice. This is a prime example of why all snake owners should only feed f/t.

By the way... I'm in Houston as well. Shoot me an email sometime.

Have fun with your snake! I suggest you stay away from live prey, if your not doing so already... I buy frozen mice from rodentpro, and have always been happy with the quality and service... i'm not a represetative of the company or anything, so this is not any kind of attempt at free advertising, i just like the company...
