FindaratoT Apr 15, 2004 05:58 PM

hey i have a pair of box turtles (three toed) anyway i was wondering if anyone has ever kept tortoises and box turtles together

my guess is its probably a bad idea and i don't think i will ever be puting different species together but i just wanted to know for future reference

also what species of turtles and tortoises do go well together? are there any?

Well first off you should never mix speices together because of health reasons. But I have done this a couple times do to building new cages. I mixed Three Toes and Russians. They do get along! Just dont feed the boxies anything alive like earthworms and such things like that. Well just wanted to tell you that these turts and torts get along. Ive also mixed Greek Tortoises and russians and boxies for a day and they got along just fine!
