does dirt from the land scape place need to be to be steralized?

the type of dirt is "sandy loam", its on the porch just waiting for feed back from you guys/gals

If the animal is healthy you need not worry about whats in dirt. Just dont get it from somewhere that chemicals or insecticides are dumped etc. They lived for millions of years in dirt before we brought them inside.
Just srtain rocks etc out of it and try to avoid ants, they are a bit of a pain to remove from the cage then.
