Bite mark

goalkper7 Apr 15, 2004 09:36 PM

I have two painted turtles and today the male bit the female a little harder than normal and left a mark. I don't think it broke the skin but there is definately a mark. Is there anything that I should do or should I just watch it to make sure it does not get infected.

thanks

If there isn't a wound then there's nothing to watch. That's mating behavior there is nothing you can do to prevent it. For the "wound" just keep the water clean.
