The torts and the li'l lizards were pretty well all I could find when I lived there. I did find some small geckos and a lizard I have yet been able to find out the species (they were fairly large and you could find them on the sides of houses all of the time)

do they look like big anoles? if so, ive seen them to. i love catching the torts wen i go there. and could never catch a lizard. i have seen a big sea turtle. but thats all.

They resembled a Bearded Dragon a bit, I can't really recal the exact look (It has been 15 years since I lived there) I mainly saw the little lizards (most had yellow bellies or pure white bellies) and they had a nice variety of reds and yellows in their back striping.. Beautiful little ones.. The Torts were my favorite of my "pets" while I lived there, I wish I could have brought some home with me, but of course that wasn't allowed. Where in Turkiye is your family located? I lived in Adana Turkiye for my 3 years there and loved it. ( I spell Turkiye this way because everything over there was spelled this way and the map I brought home of the region uses this spelling. incase you were wondering)

i know why you spelled it that way. and ive never seen those beardie like lizards. but i love the same herps you loved there. my uncle and cousin is in istombul (bet i spelled that wrong) and i think my others are scattered. i may move there! and have a turtle.
