cresties for a ten year old ..
The actual care and keeping isnt beyond a ten year old .The mere fact that youve found this forum shows your a smart young man .Assuming that your the sort that will remember to feed mist and clean them every day .A caged animal depends 100% on you .Ideally one of your parents enjoy reptiles as well and can spot check your work?I find it helpful that my wife double checks on me !

actually, it wouldnt be smart young man but more like woman. anyway, really my parents dont have a clue for herps, my mom dosnt really care about them and my dad thinks he knows alot about them, but really dosnt even know how to care for an anole! but still i manage to have a healthy appearing corn and beardie, both under my care, no parent checking in on me.

I think you'll do fine.....but, they are messy little buggers. I must warn you of that.

If you can take good care of a beardie, you can take good care of a crestie. It's easy enough if you can set a routine for taking care of them. That's the reason my 11-year-old daughter who loves animals very much doesn't have a pet of her own at this point, that she's not good at setting a routine so that she can get in the habit of feeding, cleaning, watering, whatever that type of animal needs. Just be honest with yourself about whether you are able and willing to take the time needed to take good care of a crested gecko on top of the care for the snake and dragon, and you'll make the right choice.
