Rhac sex ratios

rhacphantastic Apr 15, 2004 11:24 PM

Hello all,

Just wanted to start a discussion on sex ratios amongst cresteds, gargoyles, and leachies in captivity. It seems there are far more males produced of cresteds and leachies and the opposite in gargoyles........any thoughts on why?

Thanks!

I dont think that there are that many more males in the cresties than females. I think what you see is that males are redily sold as pets, and females are held back for breeding purposes.

I am only involved in cresies, so I can't really comment on the others.
