Hi all,

I've had my northern pine for about 8 months now, he's my first snake, so im always finding out new stuff about them/him, and usually getting into a panick for no reason.

Anyhow, he's been acting up recently, not in a bad way, usually he likes storming round his tank having a laugh. But now he just sleeps all day and nite and never moves.

I am assuming its currently breeding time, could he be getting lonely and wants some nice young fille to wrap his tail round.
He went off his food about 2 months ago, which i thought would be the hibernation erges, now hes eating well. Could the erge to hibernate still be affecting him.

So if he is lonely is there anything i can do to cheer him up, without actually getting him a partner (lack of room or money).

Right i think i might have figured out what was wrong with him, i think hes about to start shedding, but this is strange since he shed about a month ago. The shed was perfect, came off in one. Since having him hes shed twice, and its been roughly 3 months between sheds.

Do they often shed irratically, or could something be up with him, it just seems strange?????
