Well yesterday morning I posted a message here stating CONTRACTIONS and had a link to the web site with my boa cam. Well I stayed home from work cause I didnt want to miss anything, started taping with the cam corder and had my digital and regular camera ready.

Well... Her tail was in the air.. it was movin left to right.. so here it comes right? I have all cameras ready.. zoom in with the cam corder... get a good close shot, tail in the air some more.. here comes some liquid... She URATED!~

MAN this is killing me. She did this 3 times during the day each time getting me all worked up.

So is this the cleanout before giving birth?

Is there an average time from cleanout to birth?

I only have 1 gravid and I am about to go insane. I dont know what is going to happen next year if I have a few gravid.

Wish me luck.

As for all of you that have already had their babies and posted pictures, CONGRATULATIONS~! I hope to be with you soon.

As always, Live Boa cam is online and ready.

Thanks
Shawn Morelan

I know how you feel. I had 2 females that were due only 3 days apart. The female who was suppost to drop earlier actually dropped much much later. According to the "Boa Constrictor Manual" the prewaxy stool should indicate that paturation is on the way within 1-2 days. But obviously this is not always the case. The female who dropped after 104 days gave a waxy stool 1 day before paturation. However, the other female who dropped after 112 days dropped 2 stools. 1 a week before paturation and another 2 days before paturation. So you never know with these guys. Good luck, and just remember it will be over before you know it.

P.S. I think I am still a little sick from the anticipation so your not alone =)

I have one gravid female that is due any time now...why do I say any time? Because I forgot to write down the shed date!!!! *groan* I know it was somewher in the first full week of January, which leaves me waiting for something to happen between now and the end of the month. It's killing me!!!! So I completely understand. Look on the bright side......you got some great close-up footage of 'natural behaviours'.
