Injured Uro back online

URO_Sailor Apr 16, 2004 06:59 AM

Well I went to the Vet yesterday and my Mali(Blue) seemed to have a small fracture in her hip. She is moving around a little more and she seems to have the use of both her back legs now but very little strength. Vet said to let her rest and she should make a full recovery. The only problem now is that I am paranoid about handling her or my Yellow Nigerian(Thor) because I am afraid they will jump. Thanks for those that gave me some advice.

Even tho we didn't get off on the right foot, I still want to say I am happy to hear Blue will be ok.

Sit on the floor...so that if they jump they will not have a large fall, drop. Either way, you have to get back on the horse if you want to ride again.

I agree, sit on the floor with any jumpers, that way if they jump or squirm , or wriggle free, they dont have far to fall.

I wish you all the best with Blue, I'm sure you will be fine.
Please keep us posted on his recovery !

Shame it happened , but now you will be able to teach new owners, along the way, the dangers of falls, and how to handle properly, by sitting for added protection.

We lizard people are never done learning from our critters or from one another.

Hang in there, give Blue a big KISS !
