Dividing a 29 Gallon...

boidsntegus Apr 16, 2004 09:52 AM

I have a baby cresty and I want a couple more, but I don't want to buy any more babies, too much trouble. I want to buy 1 sexed female and then later on buy another male or female depending on what sex my baby turns out to be. Anyway, I have a 29 gallon, and I wanted to seperate it into 1 large space (for my next adult), and 1 small space for my current baby. What is the best thing to buy to do this? Is their a specific type to use for aquariums that is stable? I don't want something that may fall over and squash my baby! Foam would work fine, but its unnattractive. Any ideas/recommendations/pics would be great. Thanks for your time.

just use a piece of plexiglass. use mold resistant caulking if you are making it permanent. if temp just use sucktion cups on either side of the plexiglass insert to act as a bracer sorta like this:

the being the suction cups and the | being the insert

Do you think it will stress the baby to be able to see the large adult through the glass?
