A Pic of my Brooksi

syco Apr 16, 2004 11:41 AM

Here's a pic of my male brooksi, we got him from Brandon Osborne last August. He's definately one of our favorites! Brandon, we're waiting on this years hatchlings!

Nice looking snake...but why are you crossing a brooksi with a blotched/Apalachicola king? That's one cross I don't think should be done because of what we now know about the origins of the AK - this is kinda like the OBK thing; should one cross it with mainland Easterns that are clearly not withing the geographic range of OBK?

Just MO.

I didn't do the cross with the brooksi and blotched that is listed in my signature. I assume that is what you are talking about, because the pic was a pure brooksi, furthermore if I had wanted your opinion on that particular snake I would have asked for it.

No, I saw the brooks you had there, or should we simply say L.g.floridana, which is what it is?

On this site you get opinions and then some when you post - whether you like it or not!

It would be cool to see a larger pic of that cross between "goini" and floridana. I'd like to see the offspring of a hatch that was a purposful cross between the two; I like to check out all the snakes that are crossed this way, especially juvies.

Sorry, I guess I'm just a bit irritable today. I'll try to get a better pic of her and post it. She is turning into a beautiful snake.

Man, someone needs to simmer down now.

Hey, I'd like to see better/full body pics of that snake as well if you have them.

>furthermore if I had wanted your opinion on that particular snake I would have asked for it.

so, if someone is visiting in your snakeroom and you show them that snake and they say, ooh, i don't know if that would be a good cross, you'd tell them if you wanted their opinion you'd have asked for it?

your conversations on the forum will be a lot more productive for you, and more fun, if you mellow a little and realize people will volunteer ideas, opinions, etc. When someone says somethign just to insult you, then yeah, i'd share your frustration and i, too, would think it's ok to tell them where to get off. But that was hardly the case.

We need participants here who care about their snakes, who respect others, who are willing to ask questions, who are willing to have ideas challenged, who can listen to others' opinions respectfully--that does NOT preclude vigorously disagreeing with them, though.

Hope to see more of you here.

peace
