Rack Questions (draybar)

cowtownherper Apr 16, 2004 12:04 PM

Hey Jimmy, I was looking at the pics of your racks in the post a little further down this page. I really like the way you've got them packed in there. What are the diminsions of your adult racks, and what size tubs did you use? I'm running out of room and need to build something soon. Anybody else out there with any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Hey Jim,
The adult rack is 80 inches tall. There are 11 shelves (not counting the top)allowing for 10 boxes.
I use Sterilite 28 quart boxes. The shelves at 6 1/8" spacings allow for the lids. (like mine).
5 5/8" spacings would be for no lids.
This leaves space at the bottom but I did this puposefully to keep from having to bend all the way to the floor (bad back)
The rack 16 1/4" front to back and the width is 24" inside.
I used 1/2" shelving so the outside width is 25".
I used peg board for the back and attached an 11" strip of flex watt to this for heat. I have it connected to a thermosat to regulate the temperature.
