Hey Crystal (thegeckobarn) gotta question for you

RedQuake Apr 16, 2004 12:52 PM

It was you that posted the pic of yourself with 4 leos on your shoulders right? (my memory is failing and i'm to lazy to search for the pic LOL)

Did you have to do any training to get them to stay up there, handling them constantly from a young age?

Today a friend came over to see my geckos and i took Zoe out so we could get a better look at her colours and pattern. My intent was to just get her to come out of the hide but she actually crawled up my arm, which was cool cause she never usually does that.

I'd like to take out my geckos more often but the room isn't gecko proof meaning they could get into alot of hiding spots and disappear.

Thanks,
Red

All I think she did was calmly put them up there. Dont spook them, and they should stay put. Im assuming she'll be on a little later to answer that for you

I dunno.. I just kinda stuck them all up on my shoulder - 1 male and 3 fems. They just kinda sit there.. And then I had my webcam set to automatically take pics - starting before I even had them on my shoulders - every 2-3 seconds. That way, I could readjust as i went and not worry about moving lol.

But yeah, handling them does help!

I think thats cool, the web cam can be set up to take pics over few seconds. That would make things alot easier.....i've tried to hold the gecko and take the picture at the same time, using my SLR camera........its near impossible lol.
