My Malagasy Speckled Hognose makes a strange noise, as far as I can tell only when she's out. She makes a little "meep" sound, followed by what sounds like a bit of a sneeze. She has been going into a shed, and I haven't seen any other indication of illness. Should I worry?

This could *possibly* be old shed separating around the nose area. This happened to my ball a while back. It sounded like the start of an RI, but right before he shed, i noticed that his nostrils were almost completely closed. This could be the problem with you hoggie.
I have a 4-5 year old speckled and he always makes strange little huffing and puffing sounds. These range from "meeps" to sneeze like sounds to just puffs of air that remind me of an irriatated grunt. From talking to others with speckled hogs (there arn't that many of us), this seems to be normal behavior. Mine is without a doubt the noisiest snake I have ever had!
