I posted a message yesterday (worried about egg binding)My girl laid one egg but it still looks like she needs to lay another one (I am sure she needs to lay another)it has been 3 or 4 days since the first was laid is this a normal occurance? TLB posted a msg. saying not to worry yet.

I was wondering what the signs, symptoms of egg binding are so I will know when I need to rush her or any other gecko in the future to the vet for this problem. Does egg binding happen often or do I worry myself each month for nothing? This is the first time I had a gecko only lay one egg so I became worried enough to post.

Lethargy...reduced defication..sleeping alot(thats partly a sympton of lehargy) i would suggest giving her warm water soaks everyday and massaging her inderbelly very gentlly intil she lays that second one

Thanks, she is still active and alert, I gave her a warm bath yeterday my digital thermometer said the water was 90 she tried to get out at first then she settled down and sat for a while, I rubbed her tummy too and she was nice and still for this she seemed to enjoy it, I just saw her poop yesterday so I feel alright about it for now (I'm sure I will still worry till it comes though), I will make a post when she lays, maybe someday I will post pictures of my kids (I will never have real children only pets) If I can figure out how to get them into the messages after uploading to gallery. I will keep an eye peeled to the signs you warned of and take her to the vet if I think she needs help. (OH I hope she is OK, as you can tell I am new to this)
I hatched 4 eggs last year and I currently have one egg in the incubator now, I did not try to incubate the 3 earlier clutches she has had.

She Laid an egg last night. I found her covering it up this morning. It looks fertile and is in the incubator she only laid one again the last one was laid on 4/9/04. I was worried for a while but I'm not worried anymore thanks for telling me the symptoms of egg binding. I thought I'd post that she laid.
