Anyone use this? Pros? Cons?
I've been experimenting with PVC pipe caps for snake hide boxes. The advantages are that they are cheap, easy to clean, chemical resistant and heavy enough not to tip over. They also hold humidity well.
Cons are that you have to drill a hole in the side for access. The hole must be deburred in order to prevent injury. Only takes a minute, but can add up.
Tried sections of PVC pipe but it didn't work too well. Snakes didn't use it and I was always worried about getting them out if they didn't want to come out.
Now I'm thinking about using PVC pipe and fittings for additional furniture items. Anyone have some experience with this?
