I feed my monitor a pinkie on wed and thu and today he would not eat should i just let him be for a few days.

As its just a baby, you should be feeding it as much as it wants.

that is what could be causing this feeding problem. i trust you worked out the other husbandry issues you made apparent in your explanation of your setup? are you handling him (ie causing undue stress)?

Have you changed anything with the lighting or HEAT SOURCES lattely. Heating is a key part of digestion, make sure the monitor has access to some form of hot spot and a cool corner in it's setup. Stress is another key factor (as previous advisors have pointed out) so make sure your monitor is'nt being felt threatened or unsafe. Keep trying to feed him, but carefully and NOT badgering him- offer the pink for one minute if he is active and looks like it's roaming around for food. If this doesn't work entice him with crickets or meal worms. Be careful to not use to many gestures, avoid canstant offerings and give intervals in between offers.
