new eggs

draybar Apr 16, 2004 08:18 PM

I have been busy all week and haven't had much of a chance to visit the forum but I thought I better take the time tonight.
Arwen, my creamsicle is laying eggs as I type.
She has laid 13 so far and it looks like maybe 4 or 5 to go.
I will keep you updated.

For the record Arwen laid her eggs 11 days after shedding.
My first female (glacier) laid hers 9 days after shedding.

Hey Paul,
No she doesn't breed beardies...............YET.....
We have four at the moment and it is a high possibility that in the next year or two she might want to try breeding them.
Ok new total, Arwen laid twenty eggs and they all look great.
Let's see if I get a higher hatch rate this time. These two were brumated. I wonder if that will make a difference.

How great, is there still one more to lay, or was the two all you bred?

Hope you built LARGE baby racks! lol I'm a little envyous, but I'll live vicariously through the season with your snakes

Dianne,
I have a 36 box hatchling rack but one more cream that should be laying her eggs in about two weeks.
I have the 10 hatchlings in the rack, if I am successful and have all 20 of these hatch that only leaves 6 boxes. If the second cream gives me the average clutch I will be out of space again. I think I will need to build another hatchling rack and possibly another adult rack.
I still have five snakes "on order" when they start hatching.
It's crazy but enjoyable.
