I did try search...I promise (good care sheets)

mcompton1973 Apr 16, 2004 08:24 PM

I hate to ask this...I know...this is prob asked daily if not more often...
I need some good care sheets for red tail.
I tried to search, but was not getting it right and kept comming up with care sheets for all kinds of things....I just want red tail boa care sheets.

I have had snakes (rat snake and ball pythons) and several other herps in the past (totise, crested geckos, bearded dragons etc...), and lost them all a few months ago in a house fire...I lost everything.

I am thinking of getting a boa now. It will be my only herp...but dont want to go into it unarmed and uninformed...I know they are not ball pythons and so I dont want to assume all the same applies....

Thanks.

i also recommend "the boa constrictor manual," by jeff ronne, or "reptile keeper's guides - red tailed boas and relatives by r.d. and patricia bartlett.

both books are under $10.

good luck, chris olson

you could go to the breeder link here on kingsnake and find someone that breeds boas then click the link to his or her site and they should have care sheets
