Leucistic garter??

I found three of the these in the last two days in an area loaded with normal easter garters. I've been dying to find out what it is. I am thinking racer but someone told me they are rare around here. i live in NW ohio. The only other thing i can think of is a black rat but they are even more rare. anyone have other pics of black graters. The ones i have seen are nowhere near as thick as these.

There are a lot of these in ohio.Especially north.They may be protected .I would check local laws.
