growth spurts

cowtownherper Apr 17, 2004 08:27 AM

As I stated in my post below, I've seen a lot of growth in some of my snakes lately. They seem to be starving to death. I've bumped up the feeding and they still want more. I figure in the wild they are filling up on young prey this time of year. Anyone else see this feeding habit with your corns? Just curious.

Me too! I see it in almost all my herps at this time of year. Snakes(corns, rats, boas...well, okay the damn BPs never really seem to do it), monitors, turtles, ig, all the beasties have kicked into high gear. I also see several snakes that want to eat smaller prey items in the spring.....like they are hard wired to raid nests or something.
