Nice photo. Will you be producing them white snakes this year?
What camera did you just get?

why did you name that morph fireball?

0.1 "Tremper" looking Albino Leopard gecko (Lex)

That morph was originally called 'Phantom', but Ralph Davis had already coined that name. Bob Clark asked me if I would consider changing the name to Fireball, and I agreed. (Eric Page-Davies, originator and breeder of the Black-eyed Leucistic and Fireballs morphs)

OH SH#T here we go again!!

RandyRemington Apr 17, 2004 06:46 PM

Heck, maybe we can talk someone into a belly pic.

jasballs Apr 17, 2004 06:51 PM

yea that would be cool MIKE, BIG BRO, any belly shots?

jyohe Apr 17, 2004 09:26 PM

call it what it is???? a het for black eyed Leucey?..........

looks like a clean normal anyways.....not a red fireball.....

my 50 cents

dominicanthony Apr 17, 2004 10:44 PM

It looks far from normal. Also for a snake that costs $40,000 for a male and $60,000 for a female I think it should have a name other than het. The snake is a morph in its self.

jyohe Apr 18, 2004 07:37 AM

yes ....duh...I saw pisa....looks like a nice clean normal pythpon.....

and

stuff is only worth what some other dumbassss is willing to pay.....

looks like a $100 ball to me.....

call it het for leucey and I know what it is and then what it could be worth.......like ......half of a leucey price
(which should be...I don't know...$5000maybe?.......) yep

.....my opinions...I know.......

you go ahead......buy them all...and call them anything you like.......

have fun

Love the fireball and the leusistic!

j/k........But a question......besides breeding Fire X Fire to make plain white snakes......are there any plans of breeding the Fire to other morphs? The Fire looks so good in it's own right.....probably would make some killer combos!

Herpquest Apr 18, 2004 07:15 AM

I plan to breed a male Spider to a Fireball female at the end of this year. Looking forward to some really neat looking babies next year!

BallBoutique Apr 18, 2004 10:20 AM

I think someone bred a lucy with something already. It is called a pied. [A lucy with a tux]
Maybe I am thinking wrong. But the purpose of a lucy is that it is all white. Are not 90% white pieds more than low white pieds.
Perhaps someone could tell me different.
Give me visions of the crosses.

imho high white pieds are ugly. Fire Ball? What makes this a fire ball, doesn't look or remind you of a fire? I think there is a name change in order! Anyways still makes a pretty neat snake. Still not going to pay that kind of money for a ball python. Half the ball market is now greedy people that want loads of money. Who cares I guess People will always sell them for what they can get. Hell I would! In 20 yrs I'll get my first ball morph LOL,

John - one of the jealous keepers that doesn't have 10k to blow on a few ball pythons not sure I would either but it's worth the investiment as many can see.

The Fire Ball looks similar to a Yellow Ghost or at least has Ghost like features, i.e. the faded head and brighter apperance. Was this originally thought to be a Ghost until it proved to be a Co-Dom? Just wondering, it is a great looking animal without even considering what else it can produce.

Hey Blake,
The Fires look very similar to the Yellow Ghost. They are different enough that if I were looking at them side by side, I could easily pick the Fire, but still very similar. That is one of the exciting things about this project, all of the combos that can be made using this co-dom instead of the recessive ghost. I assume that the animals were bred together in the first place to produce more that look like them and surprise, white snake.

i know the name does not really discribe the look but it would describe the genes. i only ask because most co-doms share part of thier name.......pastel-super pastel......tiger-super tiger
.....platty-lesser platty. hey its just an idea

arboreals Apr 20, 2004 04:36 PM

N.P.

I say have a poll on name's for this morph because the name just kills this snake!
