going to the vet...

lele Apr 17, 2004 05:22 PM

luna will be checked, and probably x-rayed, on Monday to see what the heck is going on inside her little confused body.

I know from past inquiries of mine and others it is recommended to have them in a small space for traveling. It will be an unusually warm day (80 is predicted!) and I was thinking of bringing her in her sunning cage (18x12x21h) chock full of plants and branches and then covering it with a towel or blanket to keep it dim and so that she won't see the world whizzing by. I have to go somewhere after and have no choice but to bring her along (distance, time, location, etc.) so I want her to be comfy. She will be in the car for about 1.5 hours all total of driving time (when I make my second stop it will be for about 5 minutes. She won't be left in the car/heat of any duration)

What are your recommendations?

Bring a spray bottle, maybe a bottle of water as well. If it gets too warm, spray her. You may want to keep the towel you're draping over her moist as well. You probably won't need these things, but you'll she'll be better off having them if something should delay you on the road.
Very glad to hear she's going to the vet. Keep us informed on how she's doing!
