One question. How big are your males and females?
Some men are larger than some women. Also the reverse is true.

I would think those sizes would be fine for most adults. If you get a big male put him in a big cage like the bigger females.
Most of my females are larger than most of my males but I don't know how much of that is just that I feed the females better.
I did pick up a 2,000 gram male last winter so I know they can get big.
