Fighting turtles.

bassturtle Apr 17, 2004 07:13 PM

I have had three RES for a little over a year. Up until about two weeks ago they always got along fine. Now two of them are fighting. They will bite each others tail and shake their heads vicously. They never drew blood, but I seperated them into different containers. Any suggestions on whats going on? They are all three males. If I can not get it resolved I may give one away. I live in NE CO. If anyone in this area has a good home for it, and is interested in taking it, please E-Mail me contact information and a photo of your setup. shanebass2003@yahoo.com

I think that's kind of odd that they started fighting now after being together so long. but as i hear, males are very territorial! if you're tank isnt large enough for them to all have their own room, they will tend to fight each other for territory rights! so maybe your living arrangements for them isnt large enough for them? that's the only reason i can think that they'd fight! hope this helps
