Fogging or misting?

JaredJ Apr 18, 2004 01:37 AM

Another question. I have an ultrasonic humidifier and was wondering if piping that fog into the tank is better than plumbing a tank with misting nozzles. I've read that keeping the tank too wet is bad for red eyes.

i have 5 red eyes that i breed, and they seem to be doing fine with daily mistings, but fogging is ok to use, but they wouldn't experience alot of fog, if at all any, from where they come from, also I never tryed a fogger because i really don't believe in them. the daily mistings work just as good with humidity levels, but i would suggest misting in the mourning and at night.

I will NEVER use an UltraSonic fogger again. Ever.

I had one in with my FireBelly Toads, and when I woke up the next morning, 7 of my 10 toads where dead, electrocuted to death. The stench, the sight, it was all VERY sick & disturbing.

So, I don't use them, and I don't recommend them.
