but, has anyone ever taken their geckos overseas??? there is a good chance that next summer I will be leaving the country and I was planning on taking at least 1 of my geckos with me. how do you ship a delicate animal like a leo overseas safely??? and what about quarantine laws??? thanks in advance!!!

You would have to get CITES permits and ship it at the proper port of exit. You couldn't just take it with you on the plane.
