I was taking photos of a snake I caught and realized that what I had previously thought was just a piece of old skin still stuck to the snake is actually something imbedded in the snake's body.
At first I thought it was something foreign, like a thorn, then I thought maybe it's actually one of his bones, that got broken and was forced through the skin.
Anybody have any other thoughts? It is extremely thin when you look at it from the side.
I'd like to try to help him, by removing it, but I thought that maybe I'd be doing more harm than good, especially if it is actually a bone rather than something foreign.
