Hello, On the Lazik website, it saids that these are gentle carpets. Do other keepers find them to be more gentle than other carpets?

My babies are not the typical snappy carpet youngsters you see in other carpets. They are flighty, but not nippy. My adults are also flighty, they tend not to be lap snakes, but they have never gone after me unless I do something foolish. What I mean by not a lapsnake is that, whenever I get them out, they seem to want to expllore, at a rapid pace, and they get very quick and ophysical about resisting me if I try to control them. Due to their size, I generally put them up when they get like that. Overall, compared to other carpets, they are pretty chilled though.

They are extremely calm, but have a voracious feeding response. I have been bitten once, but it was because I stuck my hand in to grab a mouse right past one of my bredli's head. He snagged me, but quickly let go and hid. They are great snakes, and I let my kids handle them. They never hiss or anything.

When I acquired my pair, I was warned to watch out for their attitude and teeth as hatchlings. To my surprise, they never struck at me, or showed aggression or defensive behaviors at all. My pair is now 2.5 years old, and are as gentle as can be. I don't hestitate to reach right in and pick them up. I don't have experience with other carpets, so I don't know how they compare. However, I have read that Centralians have calm dispositions as adults, and I've definitely found that to be the case.
