How do I help my beardie shed?

Chameleon996 Apr 18, 2004 05:19 PM

Joker's tail shed almost two weeks ago and his legs shed 3 or 4 days ago but his body and head are taking forever. They still have that whiteish color. Can I soak him in shallow water? He didn't take this long the other times he shed

While shedding I usually bathe mine every couple days. I usually give soaks anyways so they can get some drinks. Just make sure the water is nice and warm but not too hot.

yes that helps but you also need to make sure the cage is hot and dry enough to allow the skin to dry so it can flake and peel off. It is whitish because there is moisture under the skin helping lift it off. As it starts to dry, providing something for them to rub against is a help too.
