Can a female that hasn't bred lay unfertile eggs? Does this happen? Chickens do it, so why not corns? Thoughts anyone?

Yes sometimes a female who hasn't been bred will lay a clutch of slugs, i think it is like that for alot of egg layers, i know leopard geckos will do it as well

If the owner thinks that she's gravid, do they have to provide an egg laying box? When the eggs are layed, are they just thrown away? I guess that's the only thing that you could do.

yes you would provide her with a nest box to lay the "eggs" in comfort and so she doesn't get egg bound from duds and yeah all you could do is throw them away... they'll be kinda gross looking anyway
