Really good show on Nat. Geographic Channel featuring Dr. Bruce Means & the Apalachicola Kingsnakes......... It was also nice to see that the only 'Breeders' Dr. Means purchased Goini from @ Daytona were my best friends Chris & Sheila of Gulf Coast Reptiles.......

It's amazing I didn't realize how endangered these snakes actually are in the wild.... it inspires me to want a breeding colony of those guys as opposed to the 1.1 'Blaze Phase' I currently have. It was a really good episode of Snake wranglers..... well documented & very specific on the details of how this species is in serious trouble. Now I'm just waiting for them to do an episode on Eastern Indigos another snake near & dear to my heart....

have a good one guys

There needs to be more educational shows for sure. However I'm not sure I like the notion of releasing snakes into the wild when it seems to me that'd be muddying the waters even more. Maybe I just don't agree with it coming across as an acceptible (or legal for that matter)practice by "just anyone" who thinks they're doing nature a favor. I know Dr. Means would not do anything to harm the genetic pool, but I think that subject should have been addressed since it was implied that he might release some of his snakes.
Recorded the show the first night it aired a few months ago and hope to add to it with more of the same kind of programs. The one with him about EDB's is good too.

I thought that was one of the best Snake Wranglers shows I have seen. He was very devoted to his love of the Apalachicola kings-its nice to see researchers who are like that.
